Leona, I,too, am looking for Hensley ancestors who were Cherokee. Don't have any names though. Except that a Reverend Hensley married a full blood Cherokee woman. Their son married a Mary (Green?) and Mary and her husband had a daughter named Emma Green Hensley who died in Covington, Kentucky on 1/22/1919. Emma was married to Francis Marion Lucas on 4/26/1874 in Grant County, Kentucky. They were married by Rev. Theo Rankin. Mary's husband may have been John Hensley.
