    2. In a message dated 03/30/2000 8:02:19 AM Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes: << Millie who are you looking for in the Hensley Clan? Randy >> Randy my father was born Charles Albert Henslee in Springfield Missouri. He married a lady named Julia and in the 1900 Census they had one daughter named Mabel. I know he had at least 3 possibly 4 children after Mabel. But he disappeared from the 1910 Missouri Census. I kind of think he may have moved to Ohio. And I think the names of three of his other daughters may have been Jeannette, Daisy, and Ester. He must have divorced this Julia sometime around 1922 or so as he married my mom in Missouri in 1924. I've always been curious about my dad's first family. Would be nice to find out if his children by this first marriage have grandchildren or even children out there in our world somewhere. I would suppose that his children are all dead by now. Thanks and if anyone has any info I surely would appreciatte it. Millie

    1. [HENSLEY-L] Husk HENSLEY ca 1860 So MO
    2. Does anyone have any information about a possible Husk Hensley who moved to Southern Missouri in the mid-19th century. One of the few clues I have about my William Hensley ancestor who was orphaned and lived in Cape Girardeau is that he had an uncle Husk who visited him on his way to settling in Missouri in about 1855-60. William was born in Kentucky ca 1820 was orphaned at about age 10 and bound out. The only other clues I have is that he may have had a brother named Chris and an older half-sister, name unknown. Any help or suggestions are welcome!!! Dennis Kemper

    3. I have Barbara Hensley, b. 1810 in Buncombe Co, NC, married to Adrian Metcalf. The source is "Harlan Connections #4047, A Study of Metcalfs, by Clayton G. Metcalf". According to this source, Adrian was born in 1805 in Buncombe Co, NC, and died in Harlan Co, KY in 1850. These records show 8 children: Adrian b. 1828 Mary b. 1830 John Ambrose b. 1832 Flory Ann b. 1833 Caroline b. April 15, 1835 Elizabeth b. 1837 James b. 1839 Nancy b. 1841 Hope this helps.
