John Hensley born in NC about 1817. Mother - Rachel Hensley Gallimore and we are looking for the name of his father. We found John and Rachel in Washington Co, IN in 1831 when Rachel remarries to John Gallimore, Revolutionary War veteran. In 1839 John marries Jane Davis. Francis Marion Lucas (b. 1/14/1851, Williams Township, Grant County, KY. d. 4/22/1895, Covington, Kenton County, KY) on 4/26/1874 in Grant County, KY by ev. Theo Rankin. Emma's parents were John Hensley and Mary (Green) Hensley. We have no dates or places for them. John's parents were a Reverend Hensley (Methodist) and a full blood Cherokee woman. That's all I have. My earliest known HENSLEY is Mary Elizabeth HENSLEY (abt. 1852-1897). She was the first wife of William ALDRIDGE (1849-1921). They lived in Greene Co., TN. I think Mary's parents may be Michael HENSLEY and Christina FOWLER but have no proof of this yet. Thanks, Kelley
