His father was either W. Newton or Newton Caddell Sparks. I understand there is dispute about which is correct. "He" was married to Theodora "Dora" Perrylee Mc Carty. My GreatGrandma was Laura May Clements, b May 12, 1890. Her father was James (Jim) Thomas Clements, her mother was Anne (Annie) Caroline Tennille. A cousin of hers was, John Wesley Hardin; a gunfighter (?) of the time. Lauras Grandfathers were Emanuel Clements, Sr. and George Culver Tennille. Her Grandmothers were Martha Balch Hardin and Amanda Jane Billings. Her husband was William (Jake) Jacob Sparks. They had four children; Lela V., Beulah W., Newton J., and Ora Lee. Ora Lee married John Cornelius Rotge, whos parents are Peter "Pete" Rotge and Lillie Mae Surber. John and Ora Lees, daughter, is my mom; Bettie Louise. My mom married Joseph Wright Henry and the had Johnnie L. (myself) and Allan R. In June 1949, Joseph was working for the Illi! noisCentral Ry. After he and my mom, divorced; he returned to the Fulton, TN/KY area. There, he re-married and had a family. So thats the spotter version of my tree. There are marriages, re-marriages, etc. But this is the basics and I am expanding as is possible. TNX John
