Turner, aged 66, widow of the late J. V. Turner, departed this life at her home near Livermore, Sunday at noon. Mrs. Turner had been afflicted with diabetes for a number of years and about nine weeks ago had undergone the amputation of her foot, which had become infected from the disease. She was for three weeks or more in the Owensboro City Hospital but was later removed to her home. She became a Christian in early life, first uniting with Green Brier Baptist Church and later moving her membership to Woodwards Valley Church upon its organization, where she has since been a loyal and faithful member. Funeral services were conducted at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, near her home by her paster, the Rev. John A. Bennett, of Owensboro, at 3 o'clock, Monday afternoon. The large gathering of friends and relatives, who were present to pay their last respects to her bore witness to the high esteem in which she was held. Her remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Deceased is survived by five children. Mesdames E. K. Henry; H. H. Lindley of Hartford, R. ; G. C. Rowan, of near Livermore; Miss Pearl Turner and V. C. Turner, of near Livermore. Other survivors are two sisters, Mesdames Ann Holbrook and S. M. Maddox of near Beaver Dam. She leaves fifteen grandchildren. We extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives. [Note: she was the daughter of Samuel Henry Jr. and Tabitha Walker of Daviess Co., Ky.]
