Surnames: Henry, McKinley Classification: Deed Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JRi.2ACEB/2436 Message Board Post: Spencer Co., Kentucky Deed Book F p.387 Know all men by these presents that we SHELBY and MARGARET HENRY of the county of Daviess and state of Kentucky have this day appointed and authorize and do hereby appoint and authorize SAMUEL HENRY of said county as our lawful agent and attorney for us and in our names to sell and convey our undivided interest in and to one hundred acres of land lying in Spencer County Kentucky being the same deeded by MICHAEL McKINLEY to MARY McKINLEY during her life and to her heirs afterwards we being entitled to our child part in said land and we do hereby rest the said SAMUEL HENRY with every and all power fully to bargain sell and convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers for us and in our names and in confirmation of satisfaction of the acts and doings of our said agent and attorney we here set our hands and seals this 12 th day of August 1843. State of Kentucky Spencer County I Raphael Lancaster clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that this power of attorney from Shelby Henry and Margaret Henry to Samuel Henry was this day produced to me in my office and the same together with the certificate thereinin was _______to be recorded. Whereupon the said power of attorney and certificate together wit the foregoing certificate have been duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 23rd day of August 1843. Raph. Lancaster ------------------- This indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of August 1843 between SHELBY HENRY and MARGARET HENRY, his wife by and through their attorney in fact SAMUEL HENRY all of the county of Daviess and State of Kentucky of the one part and MARK E. HUSTON of Spencer County and State aforesaid of the other part Witness that the said Shelby and Margaret Henry by their attorney in fact Samuel Henry have this day for and in consideration of the sum of twenty six dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of whereof ?? do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Mark E. Huston all their undivided interest right and title to one hundred acres of land lying & being in Spencer County on the waters of the Salt River being the same land deeded by MICHAEL McKINLEY to MARY McKINELY during her life and to her heirs after her death. The parties of the first part being entitled to one childs part in said land. To h! ave and to hold the interest hereby conveyed to him the said Mark E Huston and his heirs forever and _____ and defend the interest hereby conveyed to him the said Huston and his heirs free and clear of the _____ of ourselves, our heirs and all other person or persons whatsoever.
