I am working on my family genealogy and can't seem to find any information on the name. I was told that my grandfather was part chinese. His middle name was PONGCO. Pongco was his mothers maiden name. Is your last name of chinese decent ? If so, where did it originated ? I know its not the same as PONGCO but it's close enough. I was told that the "CO" was placed at the end as a sign of respect, like the Japanese adding SAN to the end of their name when speaking . It's the same concept as Mr or Mrs. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
