He was the half brother of Rev. Peter Jones (Kahkewaquonaby) or Sacred Feathers. Peter Jones was from the Mississauga Band of Ojibwa's Both Peter and George shared the same mother Tuhbenahahneequay or christian name ( Sarah Henry) Peter Jones father was Augusta Jones ( white surveyor ) George Henry's father was an mississauga Indian called Mesquacosy .George was 10 years younger than Peter. In 1837 George was the Mississauga Chief of the Credit Band of Indians. George was first a Methodist but became later became Catholic.
