Left Allendale Worth County MO, When my mother Juanita Ruth Henry was 3 or 4 years old. Grandmother Nella R Fry Henry his wife and mother of two other daughters, Dean Eloise Henry and Madge Gertrude Henry all boen in Allendale, Worth Co. MO. I have been searching for any information available re: him. Grandmother would only say that he was a Scallawag, and painter and a Gambler. (for which he was incarcerated at St. Joseph Mo State Hospital # 2 and fined $25.oo and court Costs. He was released about two weeks later. According to a news paper account I found in a Worth County News Paper. He was also in the restaruent business with his brother in law Lesly N. Fry On the South side of the Grant City Worth Co. MO square for a few months.in 1901/or2. again according to a news paper advertisemtnt that ran several weeks. Apparently the above incarcaration was to punish him and cure him of his gambling addiction. I h! ave been "looking" for John Everett Henry to tie up loose ends in the family tree and learn more about him. I am now in my 80's and would like to be able to finish this quest. Also I know he had a sister Anna E Henry who married a Robert White in Clinton County MO.I have a copy of their marriage certificate, but it does not include any family data other than Anna was over 21 as was Robert. I think they lived in the Kansas City area for a time and my grandmother had phone contact with her. However grandmother did not reveal any pertinent information about my erstwhile grandfather and I was too busy thinking about boys and running around to be interested in recording any data. Since I am the elder of the family there are no other relatiaves to quiz. Does anyone have any info. Thank you so much. The 1900 census for Worth county MO. shows John E. Henry, wife Nellie & 2 daughters, Dean & Madge living with his wife's parents. Shows he was born in Oct. 1870 in Missouri and his parents born in Ohio. Nellie's parents are also from Ohio.
