    3. So the search begins! Don't give up hope! My questions/suggestions are very general since I do not know your family or locations. If you want to contact me off line with specifics then I will be happy --- as I am sure others will also be --- to try to give specific suggestions. It may take a while for searches to bring forth fruit - << the children of James Sheldon Henry who passed away 12/16/2004. >> *WHERE?* Presuming that the obituary would carry only things that you and your mother, the third wife, would know there are probably no clues - << searching for my brother Daniel whom I've never met and my sister Hope, - in her 30s - whom I've spoken to just once in my whole life. >> ** sister, Hope - depending on the circumstances and location of the encounter, there could be clues here ** << Daniel would be in his 40's, possibly in California >> ** you must have some fact or pretty good clue to say where he could possible be?? ** Death Certificate: who gave the information? have you actually looked at it for clues - name & places? Obituary: Do not overlook the fact that somehow the other children (only these two?) were informed and made a contact to the funeral home and/or cemetery .. James Sheldon Henry's parents and siblings? It is rare that the entire family would loose complete track of two children ... I'd be asking lots of questions here. Were both Daniel and Hope by the same mother or by 1st and 2nd wives? Did either of the children have middle names? I'd begin with your parents' marriage license ... at least in some states the application would ask if there are previous marriages and if divorced/death occurred, and where. So that might help you look for the divorce and marriage records of the first two wives. I'd do a check of all - even Daniel who is still young - of the Social Security Death Index ... at least to rule out death. Check your father's as well. Check your library or bookstore for a copy of "Find Anyone Fast, Easy-to-Use guide to Finding Anyone Anywhere! including How to use the Internet" by Richard S. Johnson and Debra Johnson Knox (private investigators). MIE Publishing, Spartanburg SC 29301. Try Cindi's List .... http://www.cyndislist.com/finding.htm for finding living people. And there are many other sites ... just use your search engine and a variety of word combinations to come up with them. I had a very hard time tracking one fort in particular because the named changed so many times. This may or may not help you any. I just know from my experience I have found this to be common practice. Some forts are very well documented and some aren't.Fort William Henry is a museum now so surely it must be documented somewhere. I found alot of info on forts in the Draper Manuscripts, including payrolls, etc. I'm also researching the Henry's also and they are a tough group to narrow down! Good Luck! Hope this helps some, Kelly Sulcer Henry

    2. Lotswife
    3. I really must go to the trouble of changing my address! I only used Lotswife after attending a lecture on a big university campus about the "Myths about women in the Bible" ... this was years before the DaVinci Code. This scholar maintained that Lotswife not only looked back, she left Lot and returned in order to "clean up her town" ... apparently women are known for doing that kind of thing, even behind the scenes. My husband, on the other hand, said I reminded him of Mrs. Lot because "she didn't listen to her husband." Okay, King David, are your Henrys Jewish? Mine are. I've found them in Georgetown, SC from 1800 to 1820. He may have been Belgian (family lore). Unfortunately, there are no synagogue records for them that I can find. The Civil War destroyed so many records.
