Her name was Grace Henry, born around 1863/1864. Place of birth may have been NJ but am not sure. She was married to Daniel Buchanan, and widowed before 1920. Remarried to a man with the last name of Bolger, and was widowed again before 1930. In both the 1920 and 1930 census she was living with my grandmother and other family members on NYC westside. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Mary Cooksey Wilks MCW150@aol.com

Hi List, My Francis Henry Family of Poland, OH is located a bit further west than the one in this message. The father of my Francis Henry was supposed to be also Francis Henry, b 1754 in the "Winchester" district of Virginia. I believe that this district included what is now Washington Co., PA, and an equal amount of land in what is now WV. I am wondering if a person who answered the 1880 census that his father was born 1840 in VA was really saying WV or if in the northern half, Washington Co., PA. I have come across a few HENRY census records that indicate parents being born in VA -- no wonder every Henry thinks that they are a descendant of the Patrick Henry! I think it often means from Washington Co., PA. I think that this area was central to the Scots/Irish, most Presbyterians, very many being soldiers, and some being early industrialists, who came to PA in early 1700's. I am trying to find collateral lines to Francis Henry of Poland, Ohio, like James Reed, and I am trying to follow these back to early PA. I have a file on rootsweb called "henrymac" Does anyone have an historical map of the "Winchester District?" Who keeps the records from the early days when the area was called Winchester? imrslieutenant@hotmail.com wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Hello Henry hunters; I am seeking help to break my present stalemate. My great grandfather, Charles F. Henry, first surfaces in the 1880 census for Sharkey County, Mississippi. He is 43 years old and married to Mary E. age 25. They have three children; Calvin C. age 6 Gideon N. age 4 Eliza A. age 1 This census has Charles F. Henry born in Tennessee as was his father and mother. On November 30,1981 he is found in Ashley County, Arkansas being married to Mary Elizabeth Manning. He and Mary Elizabeth Manning had one child, Daniel Frances Henry (my grandfather) b. November 19, 1982. In the 1900 census for Ashley County, AR, C. F. Henry is dead as Mary Elizabeth Henry is listed as widowed, Daniel Frances Henry is living with a neighbor and indicates his father was from England. In the 1910 Census, he indicates C. F. is from Alabama. Summary: CHarles Frances Henry was born in 1837 in TN, AL or England. (My guess would be TN) He died between 1893 (when he was surety for his son Calvin's marriage) and 1900. Questions: Does anyone know for sure where he was born? Who was his father and mother?
