    3. We have Henrys that moved to Ohio in the 1830's and purchased land in Seneca County. These Henrys, we believe, came from Pennsylvania. That happens to be our brick wall. The two we are certain of are John and Joseph. John is my grgrgrandfather. ----- Original Message ----- From: "J Engan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 11, 2002 10:06 AM Subject: [HENRY] Re: HENRY-D Digest V02 #38 > Does anyone have a Rev. Several James Henrys bought land in Ohio in the 1830's. My great grandmother , Jane Henry, was adopted after her birth in 1830, and perhaps because the family was moving west. 2. ----- Forwarded by Shirley Krenzler/CSCKGO on 04/10/02 12:26 PM ----- Dan Patterson <[email protected] To: [email protected] na.rr.com> cc: Subject: [CP-L] Trading Ford, NC & Camp Yadkin, York Hill 04/07/02 01:36 PM Please respond to dantana Every person that is sent this email has some kind of family history tied to the famous Indian Trading area at Trading Ford, NC and Fort York Hill and historic old Rowan & Davidson County. These areas located just a few miles from Salisbury, NC are in danger of possible environmental damage due to the State of North Carolina DOT expanding Interstate 85 northbound and southbound to eight lanes. This is NOT a widening project but brand new 8 lanes of bridges. Plans for brand new bridges are being made by the DOT that will cross the Yadkin River. I am not opposed to the construction nor do I want to stop the construction. I do want to bring a heightened awareness to the NCDOT that valuable historic areas exist in the area of the "proposed new bridges". Civil War & Revolutionary War earthworks, trenches and battle remains could be present. I certainly hope that the NCDOT will make sure that public meetings are held and a committee set-up to oversee an exploratory mission to make sure these HISTORIC areas are protected and marked. After reading this email, would everyone of you hit your "reply to all" button and demonstrate your support for this concern to the emails listed. A list of email addresses are listed on the bottom just in case you need a copy. This web address has a lot of info on this area: http://home.webkorner.com/whigkid/tradingford/ PLEASE TAKE TIME TO FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK. George Albert Pence (spence) (my g grandfather) born to Henry and Brittiannia in 1839 or 40 possibly PA. Henry purchased land from father-in-law Levi Gray in Sangerville ME in 1839 and sold it in 1839. Who was Henry J.? Where did he come from? What happened to him? Have checked census. Geo Albert lived with Levi in 1850. There was a Daintha Pence born 1837 38 in Sangerville who is very likely Geo Alberts sister but cant find her in 1850 but she shows up later!
