Is there any known connection between this family and the family of ISHAM HENRY, whose estate was settled in Richmond Co., NC, in 1844? There is speculation that Isham was of the Hendry family. He was probably born about 1765 and several members of his family settled in Anson Co., NC. My ancestor is his son Jesse Henry who married Jane (Jenny) Courtney, daughter of John Courtney and Nancy Ann Threadgill of Anson. Any help will be appreciated. Michael Motes
I also tried to connect this line to my Henry's and I researched this line for a period of time. From the information submitted you are both referring to the same line. This Henry line was confusing and through the wonderful assistance of Renee, the Hendry list owner I had a light bulb moment. This branch dropped the d and went but Henry. Per William Henry's will: I, William Henry, Senior, of the State of South Carolina and District of York. Hope this helps and good hunting Patti I have a William Henry, b. 1715 Ireland who married Isabella McKown in Augusta Co., VA. He died Oct 22, 1819 in Bethany, York Co., VA. I have tried to tie them into my Henrys who found their way to Augusta Co. from Ireland before migrating to western Kentucky around 1800. Do you suppose we are talking about the same couple? Do you have any of their family tree? "cbaird" <[email protected]> wrote: >Am new to this list. >Am researching William Henry b 1715 in Tyrone, Ireland- he married Isabella >McCown.
