This one in particular is from The Sangamo Journal, dated 29 Mar 1832, and published in Springfield, Sangamon Co, Illinois: INFORMATION WANTED: The undersigned having left Ray county, in East Tennessee, about fifteen years ago, & not having seen or heard from any of their friends during that period, take this method of ascertaining in what part of the U.S. they live. Elizabeth Williams married John Henry, a son of Wm. Henry, of Ray County, Tenn. George Williams and his wife died in Arkansas. Said Henry and family were making preparations to move to Alabama, at the time we left Ray county. They have heard lately that a person of the name of Henry is living in Franklin Co, East Tenn., but cannot learn whether he is the person they are anxious to hear from. James McMolan married Anna Williams, & we don't know where they reside. Should this advertisement meet the eyes of any person, who from the above description, can give information for the said Henry and his wife, or the said McMolan and his wife, they will render a favor by directing a letter to "John or Jesse Williams, Springfield, Sangam! on, Illinois, living on Lake Fork of Salt Creek". /s/ Jesse Williams John Williams March 5, 1832 (The county they came from in Tennessee was actually Rhea county.) I know that John and Elizabeth (Williams) Henry moved to Bibb co, AL, where both died before 1850. I'm not sure where James and Anna (Williams) McMolan (McMillan? McMullin?) went, but there is a James & Anna living in Lawrence Co, TN, in 1850 who MIGHT be them. I don't have any idea where George Williams died in Arkansas, though. My ancestor is the John Williams listed above. He was living in Logan Co, IL, in 1840, and he died there in 1844. I am trying to trace his siblings and parents. If you know anything about any of these people, please contact me. Janell Wheeler
