I am searching for John Henderson from Lambton county Ontario. He married Barbara Shillington and they lived in Watford, Lambton county then in 1875 ventured to the U.S. Iowa then finally settled in Renville county North Dakota. I don't know if there is any connection here or not, my John is reported to have been born in 1830, exact place unknown. Finding any info on him so far has had little success. Maybe your James had a cousin named John that came to that area with him or maybe he already lived there and James came up to live with the Hendersons of that area, this is all just guess work and grasping for straws, but little things like this is all I've got to work with so far.
