Boone/Henderson connection so I was wondering if you ever heard of a Obadiah Henderson? I have heard that he was possibly a "Long Hunter" with Daniel's group. I come from a line of Hendersons that came from PA to Illinois about 1854. A distant cousin believes that this Obadiah was our Uriah Hendersons father but they don't seem to have any information to back it up. One reason that I'm inclined to believe there is a connection is because our Uriah settled in Putnam Co. Illinois along with a Andrew Henderson. Andrew Russell Henderson married Hannah Dixon. They have a son George who marries a Margaret Finley. The Finley's of Putnam Co say we are related to them but they aren't sure just how. I did a little reading up on Daniel Boone and found that he came out of PA and certainly the Finleys were involved in the Boone history. I know this is sketchy but I was wondering if you had ever heard of this Obadiah or knew of any connection be! tween the surnames I have mentioned. thanks lois
