I descend from John Henderson & Nancy Singleton. John's Parents were William Henderson and Elizabeth ?? from Hanover Creek, VA. Does anyone have any information on William or Elizabeth?? Thanks! Carolyn Whaley

Carolyn, I also descend from John and Nancy (SINGLEON) HENDERSON. Don't know a whole lot about William, but he was b.abt. 1720, Hanover/Louisa County, VA, d.1782, Hanover, VA, m. Mary (there is a big debate about her maiden name},b. abt 1745.William was a Virginia planter. Their children were: William, Jr., Barbara, Jane, Rollins,christopher, Joseph, Julia, Sally, Maxie, John was b. 23 DEC 1763. this was from Elsie Pollock's unpublished book on John Hope HENDERSON, John and Nancy's son, shared originally with me by another descendant of John and Nancy. The book is pretty accurate, as I found out by visiting the home and burial place, etc. of John Hope, and the place where John and Nancy could have been killed in LaSalle County, IL. Do you have the ancestors of William? If you want, I can send you a print-out of my data base back into Scotland.
