I too attended a Mouyer reunion in Washington, DC in July, 1999. The Mouyer name is traced back to a Chieftain Mouyer who was brought here from Africa. According to the information I have, he was purchased by Dr. Curtis B. Attwood, who resided in the area of Waterbury, CT. I understand that he had two boys, David Mouyer and Elo Henderson (adopted surname of his slave family). Does any of this sound familiar or connect with the info you have?
