My Joshua H. Henderson was born in Indiana, but he enlisted in the Union army in Polk City, Iowa in 1861 (Aug 21) He was 22 years of age. I'm assuming he had to live there for some time before he could enlist. Maybe not. So many laws change. His fathers name could have been James. Glad to help if I can. Marilyn
