I'm having a difficult time sorting out these South Carolina Nathaniels. I've been searching the Henderson archives for clues of my own Nathaniel's parentage and I've become confused. Sometimes I see Eleanor Springs married as a 2nd wife to Nathaniel b 1728 and sometimes I see her married to a Nathaniel b 1714 with a son Robert who married Isabel. Is Robert married to Isabel or Abigail Ratchford or both? Or are these two separate families. My Nathaniel b abt 1813 appears in the 1850 Census of Pickens and Anderson County. His wife was Eliza Michem and they had the following children: William b 1836 Sarah A Sally b 1837 Erasmus Franklin b 1840 Washington E b 1842 Daniel b 1844 Elizabeth b 1846 David b 1848 Eliza Jane b 1850 Edna b 1856 Seana Coulter anaesretluoc @aol.com or Seana131@aol.com
