    3. Hi James and Mary, I just read your history of Rheatown at the following site: The Original Johnson County Tennessee Genealogy Page My Henderson's lived on and around Quaker Knobs "McCartney Mountain" from about 1802. Some of their land was purchased with or from Samuel Frazer and was located on the north side of graveyard of the Meeting House near Campbell"s Gap. I know they were not Quakers because they owned slaves at that time. I'm curious if during the course of your research either one of you have ever run across anything on my Henderson family line? Joseph Henderson and Eleanor Hutchison were their names. One of their sons: Joseph Henderson Jr established in 1829 a trading post called Henderson's Mill, Henderson Station, Henderson Depot, Henderson Home, later it became known as Afton which is only a couple of miles to the south of Rheatown. Other children were George, Robert, Alexander and Anna Henderson Hall. Robert married Rebecca Hall, George married Rachel Mauris, Joseph Jr married Sarah D. White and not sure about Alexander. I would be very grateful for anything that you could share with me. I plan to visit the area in mid Oct from Houston Texas. Sincerely Larry Gosnell
