Indiana. He stated in a letter to the government in 1915 ' he was reared by strangers from infancy'. We do not know the name of the couple who raised him. I am looking for any Henderson's who lived around Johnson Co. about this time. He may have had older siblings not living with him. Since he had so little info, he may have been born in Dec. 1840. Parents dead? maybe. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
