Hi Norman, Your name sounds familiar; are you on the "former Township of Gore" List? I just want to add to your message that my ancestor, William HENDERSON, arrived in Canada in 1823, and he and his wife, had at least 10 children. His daughter, Elizabeth, married her cousin, Robert KERR, and they had 5 children. Between 1875 and 1885 most of the family came down to MA. And, another daughter married in Canada and came down to VT, first, and then down to MA. (I can retrieve her name from the archives of the "former Township of Gore" List.) And, William's older brother, Samuel, and his wife, arrived in Canada with him. They and their KERR relatives were part of a family-group going to the Prov. of Quebec. I believe Samuel only had about 4 children; I'd have to check on that, also. There is a man in Canada who spent many years researching the descendants of this family-group - which combined had about 40 children. I can't offer his information, but there is a good chance that many of their descendants came down to the US more towards 1900. ... I also want to mention that there were probably many of the "British Home Children" arriving in Canada between the 1860's and 1930's had the surname, HENDERSON. And, either they or their children might have made their way down to the US. .. The HENDERSON name probably can be found in the archives of most of the Canadian Lists. Just FYI's !
