My Carlton line came from the Londonderry area of Ireland. It was in the 1830's that my line came to the US and settled in Indiana (Fayette County) Then in the late 1840's some of them moved further West to Iowa. It is in Iowa (Taylor & Decatur Counties) that my grandmother, Nellie Carlton Canaday, was born in 1876. If you find a connection, I would be curious to know about it. Take care, Carlton Canaday
