Emily (the daughter) married a Layman, and had siblings Adelaide, Jemima, Eveline, and May (and one who died young). Alex was born in NY c. 1864, both parents in Scotland, according to the 1900 census for Manhattan. Daughters Jemima and Emily were born in Wisconsin, the others all in NY. Can you tell me who Alex's parents were, and where in Scotland they were born? I'm trying to sort out all of the Hendersons in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I have a Bertrand Henderson who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1893, and it is believed that his father was James T. Henderson, born c. 1870 in NY. His mother, Marjorie (Margaret) Whitley, was born in Scotland, date and place unknown. I'd appreciate any information that you can give...all of these Henderson families get confusing! Thanks, Cheryl
