In Loving Memory of FRANCES B. HENDERSON. June 9, 1915 - Feb. 11 2008 Frances was born in Portland, OR, and lived in Huntington Park, CA where she met her husband, Sewall Henderson, in high school. Married at St. Matthias Episcopal Church in 1936, the family settled in Whittier. Frances was a member of the Altar Guild at St. Mathias, the Friendly Hills Women's Club, and a Board member of the Southern California Women's Golf Association. Golf was her passion, and she played well into her 80's. She was loved and admired by the many lives she touched. She is survived by her two daughters, Gayle Henderson, of Scottsdale, AZ and Joan H. Whitney of Redmond WA, her grandchildren, Dana Stevens and Bradley Stevens and great grandsons. Private services were held Friday, February 15th at St Matthias. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations, in memory of Fran, to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research. www.michaeljfox .org Published in the Whittier Daily News on 2/19/2008.
