But the Okinawan UNTEN. The name originates from Unten-ko (Unten port). The Okinawan Unten name has the meaning of "un o ten ni makase yo", roughly translated, "Let the heavens rule your fate/luck". The Okinawan Unten's have two branches, the Ue-untens and the Kame-untens. My last name is UNTEN and I am very familiar with the Okinawan Unten origin. The biggest surprise is that Robert's mother and my mother have same first name. Unfortunately, I am not able to help Robert, (I wish I could), even though my family was on Okinawa during that time.
