We have reason to believe that these Hendersons at times served as Tacksmen to the Sinclairs and Sutherland lairds, and were largely spared from the clearances. Due to the records of Latheron Parish, we do not have reliable information on the line before the mid 1700s. Also of note is that this family intersects the Gunn line several times, and there is a direct relationship between these people and the Scottish author, Neil M. Gunn of "Highland River" and "Silver Darlings" fame. If you have questions or wish to discuss, please feel free to contact me or access my tree.
