My grandparents lived first at Leadgate near Consett, moved to Stanley. My grandmother's sisters, Margery Ellen and Mary Jane Henderson, lived all their lives in Consett. They told me their parents were farmers. My grandfather Bainbridge was a local Methodist preacher for more than 40 years. Hi,? I think I understand this William Henderson the Emi info.? I believe we are getting the two Thomas Henderson mixed up.? The Thomas Henderson who m. Elizabeth Cansiler of Pickneyville, SC. who had a second son Thomas Henderson who m. Mary Wheeler dau of Thomas Wheeler and the first son John Henderson who they said marr Anna Bennett.? The other one is Bennett Henderson who m. Elizabeth Lewis dau of Charles Lewis and Mary Randolph.? Then a Bennett Henderson who marr. Mary Goode[Goode in Knoxville Tn. Knox Co.?? The other is William Henderson the third who went with his relative Thomas Henderson the son of William Henderson and Mary Woolfolk?? One was with Richard Henderson the Quaker and Elizabeth Branson or were they together?? These last ones were with William Henderson the Quaker also?? I believe it is because of the Wheelers in NC.? I know there is a Mrs. Keith here in Knoxville, Tn. Knox Co.? Then I have the ones with John Henderson who m. Ann Bennett and Thomas Hende! rson? then James Henderson these are with Ursula Keeling and Thomas Henderson?? This Thomas Henderson m. Ursula Keeling was the son of Robert Henderson?? I have Ursula Keeling with George Keeling and Ursula Fleming?? Then I have Ursula Henderson [Ann Henderson] with Daniel Williams--some in Knoxville, Tn. Knox Co. Col Joseph?Williams m. Becky Lanier and there was another Williams who m. Wealthy Lanier is that right?? I also know Laniers were in Newport Tn.?
