    2. "WAUCHULA WOMAN IS STRUCK AND KILLED BY HIT-RUN DRIVER - WAUCHULA, Aug. 23 - (Special) - Miss Emily Henderson, 60, was killed here tonight by a hit-and-run driver, whose car struck her as she was crossing the highway near her home, two miles north of Wauchula. The car that struck her is thought to have been a 1931 model, green Chevrolet coach, an according to witnesses was going 50 miles an hour north on the highway toward Bowling Green, but may have turned off the highway toward Parrish. The body of Miss Henderson was badly mangled. A coroner's jury was empaneled, but has not yet completed its investigation. Miss Henderson is survived by a sister, Mrs. W. P. Gunter, with whom she had resided several years, and a brother, John Henderson, of Cullman, Ala. Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but the body will be buried here."
