I have a real problem trying to find the parents of Mary(Polly) Henderson who was married to Joseph Roper from Jefferson County, Tn (Dandridge). I suspect that her Hendersons were from Monroe County or Jefferson County, Tn. She married Joseph in the late 1700s. After Polly died Joseph remarried. His 2nd wife was a widow by the name of Cromwell. He and the new wife left Jefferson County with his and Polly's children and moved to Shelby County, AL. The Henderson family that Polly was related to came from Scotland to Augusta County, Va. Eventually they made their way to Tn. I have no idea who her parents were!! If anyone recognizes these names would you mind contacting me? Polly had to have died before 1833 the year that Joseph moved his entire family to Al. Gratefully, Myra Daniel
