William H. born abt. 1855-1857 in Alabama, married Mary (Mollie) Latta in Blount County, Al. on 9/19/1875. Will died on 3/8/1911--he was my grgrgrandfather. Will and Mollie are both buried in the "Old Mill" or "Mill Village" Cemetery also called Comer or Avondale Mills Cemetery. The story goes that Will owned alot of land in Blountsville, Al, but like to gamble and lost everything on a bad bet. .My grandmother, nee Lucy Henderson, said he was cheated out of the land, then moved to Birmingham/worked at Avondale Mills. I am searching for info on this story and info on his parent or siblings. His son Walter L. was my grandmother's father. Thanks in advance!
