    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Henderson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/yNi.2ACEB/4029.1 Message Board Post: It is funny that you are looking for cherokee blood in hendersons. I am looking for my grandmother's lineage which has cherokee blood and she was married to James Wylie Henderson. My grandmother lived in Carter County Kentucky as did my grandfather. They both moved to Greenup County Kentucky. My grandfather had two sisters. named Jewel and Hazel Henderson. He had one brother who died young I do not know his name. My grandfather was in the Navy in the Second War World. I will try to find out my great grandfathers name and where they came originally. I know they migrated to Kentucky. My great aunt thinks they came from North Carolina. She knows that my greatgrandmother jessie lived once on the reservation in cherokee, north carolina. I will see what I can find out about the hendersons.

    3. Hello researchers, I haven't heard "BOO" from anyone on this line as to whether or not they have traced their HENDERSON family back into Scotland. I believe it's most likely that william HENDERSON, who arrived in the 1600's in VA, had a son William, grandson Thomas, ggrandson, William, gggrandson John m. Nancy SINGLETON, was either from Fife or Angus, boith part of the Tay Valley in NE Scotland, just north of Edincurgh. Does anyone know if this is true? DHas anyone found William's emmigration or parents or birth data?
