I too am seeking information on an Alexander Henderson in the Charleston, SC area (b. around 1860-65 or so). He married Alice Neyle. Their children were Emma Julia "Jules" Neyle Henderson (b. ca 1885) and Alexander Henderson, Jr. (b. June 16, 1885 - d. March 1968 in Walterboro, Colleton Co., SC). Jules married Edward Hacker Robertson in 1907 in Charleston, SC, and their children, all born in Charleston, SC, were Edward "Eddie" Hacker Roberton, Jr. (b. Sept. 11, 1908 - d. Nov. 26, 1983), Alexander "Zanny" Henderson Robertson (b. June 16, 1912), Charles Neyle Robertson (b. Feb. 5, 1914), and Thomas "Tommy" Butler Robertson (b. Jan. 11, 1916 - d. July 28, 1989). Tommy & Eddie Robertson owned the Robertson Cafeterias in Charleston for many years. Tommy was my wife's grandfather. It is this Alexander Henderson who would have been born around 1860 to 1865 who I cannot find any information on. He may or may not be the same A. Henderson you are looking for. I do not recall seeing a Gertrude Robertson in any family files though I will look deeper for you. If anything here rings a bell please let me know.
