The reason I was interested in Hendersons in Mississippi is that there are Leas and Hendersons married much earlier in Virginia, North Carolina and MS. I think like many families they married within the families and moved together. What I do know is that my Joseph Milby Henderson was born in Texas in 1871 to J. A. and Emma V. (Milby) Henderson. J.A. was born in Pennsylvania and Emma in Texas. They were in Houston at that time and then later Emma and Joseph, not sure whether J. A. was there, in San Antonio by 1891(?). I also show a James M. Henderson living in the same household but have no idea whether he was son, brother, cousin or what. Joseph M. married Harriet Fitzhugh Ward in 1893, divorced by 1896. He shows up later in Louisiana, 1900s, and marries Violet Lea in 1916. They were married only a short time but I can find no records. He supposedly dies at sea or in South America. I have also seen posting for Emma and Joseph M. marrying in late 1890s in Somervell County. So can this help us to discover if your family and mine might be related? Hope to hear from you--Leona
