Henderson, born about 1816 in Georgia, married Rachel M. Leavell 16 September 1835, and their son Rufus R. Henderson, born about 1853 in Georgia. Major A. Henderson and Rufus R. Henderson are said to have migrated to Johnson County, Arkansas, where Major A. Henderson died in 1876 and Rufus R. Henderson died in 1915. They are buried in Adams Cemetery, Johnson County, Arkansas.
