I am new to this and am having some very trying times finding anything on my ggreatmother who was cherokee Henderson, her name was Della Henderson, I'm not sure of her birthplace but I know she died somewhere in Mississippi. I don't know any of her sisters or brothers but i know she had a daughter which is my grandmother named Minnie Stacey Henderson Glover. Both of which are now deciesed. But as a younger child I asked my grandmother why she and my ggrandmother's hair grow down to their feet and why they resembled indians so much by facial structure and color. That's when she told me that she was half cherokee. But I would like any info you have on cherokee Hendersons that were anywhere in the Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee area. Thanks. Oh yeah the name Hazel Henderson sounds so so familiar I think either that was the name of one of my grandmothers sisters or cousin but I've heard mention that name a few times.
