My great great grandmother was Julia Sweat Miller, d/o James Jarrell Sweat and Mary Blackburn, and wife of Stephen F. Miller. I am trying to find out who were the parents of the Davis children living with Berrien and Martha Ann Davis in 1880. They are listed as nephews, Colwell, age 6, and Andrew, age 3. Berrien's niece, my Julia Sweat Miller, is in Waycross at the very same time with a niece, Frances M. Davis, age 4. I cannot find that Julia had a family member who could have provided this niece, and I believe that Martha Ann Davis Henderson gave Julia this child and that Andrew and Colwell ( Colquit ?) were the brothers of these orphan children. I cannot find the missing brother of Martha Ann who could have provided these children. Any ideas ?
