I believe my immigrant Henderson to have been my great grandfather Oliver Mowbray Henderson, born in Leith in 1884 and died in Chicago in 1970. He had married Agnes Cochran, born in Faulkirk in 1884, and died in Chicago in 1966. His father was Robert Henderson, born in Lerwick in 1860 and died in 1946. His mother was Elizabeth Mary Sinclair, born in 1862 in Clousta and died in 1948. This was part of a chain of alternating Roberts and Olivers that started in 1809. -- Douglas Flummer Carbondale, Illinois "You will ever remember that all the end of study is to make you a good man and a useful citizen. This will ever be the sum total of the advice of your affectionate father." -- John Adams, in a letter to John Quincy Adams, 1781
