Facts of the family are: John Henderson was born 19 August, 1786, in County Derry, Ire., and his wife, Sarah Sterling McGowen, was a native of County Antrim. The couple with two children came to America in 1816, and settled at St. Thomas, Franklin County, but in 1856, removed to the State of Iowa. The children: Mary J. Hoffman, Hugh J., Elizabeth Litz, Sarah Sheller, Phoebe Moore, Lydia A. Leffert, James A., born 1829, in St. Thomas, became a resident of Bedford in 1853, and the same year married Emma, daughter of Jacob Over, of Bedford. Can anyone help me as to what happened to John and his wife Sarah? Thanks in advance Bill
