VA (now Mercer Co. WV) (that birthdate is verified by the Census for Cabell Co. VA (now WV) in 1850). I have consulted several Henderson databases and many of them show that he was married to Mary Deyerle or Elizabeth Sessler, or both. Only one or two databases show his wife as Nancy Dingess. However I have found a record of his marriage to Nancy Dingess in Montgomery Co.VA dated January 7, 1800. Could there really have been two William Henderson's born in Montgomery Co. in 1780? If so, does anyone know how I can tell the difference? My gggrandfather Dingess P. Henderson was one of their sons.
