Macon Telegraph Macon, GA 2-25-1840 (GenealogyBank.com) At his residence, in Fort Gaines, Ga., on the 21st ult, after a protracted illness of seven months, Col. MAGERS HENDERSON, aged 65 years and 11 months. He was a native of Caswell county, North Carolina, but had resided in the State of Georgia, for more than half a century; during 17 years of which time he had, successively, represented the counties of Wilkes, Jasper and Randolph in the State Legislature. He has left a family and many warm friends, to deplore his death. Peace to his manes--honor to his memory.
