The earliest we know of him he is in Washington Co PA in 1838 when he marries Eliza Hartman. They settle in Fayette Co PA where Uriah is a shoemaker by trade. They have the following children: Isaac, Samuel, Alexander, Joseph, Uriah Jr, and Sarah E. and possibly Morgan when they come to Putnam Co Illinois around 1854. Uriah's military record states he was born in NC but other records say PA so we don't know if the military record is in error or the other accounts. The McCormicks, Blackledges, and Crabbs we believe were connected to them in some way in PA. The little community where they settle in Illinois has families by the name of Cassell, Smith, Johnson that we believe may have known each other prior to the Florid, Putnam Co Illinois settlement. We are looking for the Progenitor of the Uriah Henderson line. Any help is most welcome.
