They were married in Ashe Co, NC on 15 July 1866. They later lived in Grayson, Co. VA. Their children included Celia Emaline PENNINGTON STURGILL, daughter of Elizabeth and her first husband, Andrew Jackson PENNINGTON. The following have been identified as children of William and Elizabeth: Laura E. b. 1867; Albert Lee b. 1868; Andrew Jackson b. 1869; Martha A. b. 1871; Wiley M. b. 1872; Malinda E. b. 1874; John W. b. 1878 and at least one other child b. 1880. Celia and her husband, Melvin STURGILL are my great grandparents. I have a picture of Celia and Melvin but am very interested in finding information/pictures of/about Celia, her parents and her siblings.
