    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: RoseStout54 Surnames: Henderson, Mount Classification: marriage Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.henderson/8438/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Henderson - Mount At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Mount of Haven, Kansas, Wednesday, September Sixteen, Nineteen Hundred-three, at three o'clock, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Lottie Adella, to Mr. Robert B. Henderson of Jefferson City, Missouri. About eighty relatives and friends had assembled in the parlors when, as the appointed hour drew near, Mrs. J. A. Miller sang "All for You." Then, to the strains of Lohrengrins wedding march, rendered by Miss Amy Astle, the bridal couple entered preceded by Miss Carrie Thorp, bearing the ring; Miss Jennie Michaels as bridesmaid, and Mr. Ed Mount as groomsman. In the sunny south window, in a bower of dainty plants and flowers the Reverend B. F. Buck received them and after a few appropriate remarks, pronounce the ring ceremony of the Congregational church, throughout which were heard the low tones of the piano. All present then pressed forward to offer congratulations and best wishes. Dainty refreshments were served in the dining room and the guests reluctantly departed about six o'clock. The bride was becomingly dressed in a brown traveling gown with a white net waist made over silk and trimmed with bands of white satin ribbon. She carried an exquisite bouquet of ferns and white roses. The bride's maid ware green and white gown trimmed with lace and carried pink roses. Little Carrie looked sweet in her dainty white dress holding erect a large red rose with the ring concealed in its chalice. The groom and best man wore the usual dark suits. Many useful, beautiful presents, including linen, china, glassware, silver and pictures, were received. The wedding was a charming one in every particular. The bride has spent her whole life here and was a social favorite and a faithful worker in her church where she will be greatly missed. The groom is also well and favorably known here. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson left on the evening train for their future home in Jefferson City, Mo. Best wishes for long and happy life accompany them.
