Food for thought - I just read an article where the courthouses in Vermont may cut their operation hours by a half day due to budget cuts. Everyone is experiencing various rate hikes in our daily needs (utilities, food, gas, etc) and government centers are no exception.  With this in mind, we could be looking at courthouses across the nation cutting back their operation hours.  If this happens then anything we request which requires the US Postal Service will probably require more time. When making visits from out of county or state, I strongly suggest that you call about a week before your planned trip to a courthouse to get their current hours.  Don't assume that the hours are the same as your last trip even if it was a few months ago.  Anything can change and only those in the county may be notified via local newspapers.  I know from personal experience that some open as early as 7am, some close the offices from noon to 1pm for lunch and some close at 4 or 430pm. Samuel Henderson (1737-1821 )left a will dated 1818, recorded 22 May 1821 in Rutherford Co., Tennessee naming his wife and children. It is my understanding that Samuel and Mary (Waldrop) Henderson's eldest child, Samuel, was born about 1759. This would make Samuel about 35 years older than the Samuel Henderson you are looking for. Do you have conclusive evidence that you have the correct lineage for this Samuel? If so, I would like to see it so I can correct my records. I also have a John Henderson died 1833 Allen County KY. I have not done much work on him but have information on his son Lorenzo Dow Henderson. He also had sons Jeffeson, Nathaniel and daughter Turena. I have information that he married Sarah Fortune. Any of this fit with your information? I believe one marr a John Henderson.? They were with a Walter Clark of same.? Some of these could be with John Henderson and Sarah Brockman.? Richard Lewis Henderson who was with Forbes or Forbis Susannah in Bowling Green Ky.? He was with Frank Lewis Henderson who was with Faucett in Hood River Oregon and Walla Walla Washington.? I also seem to have two Rachel Jane Hughes or Rachel Jane Martin Hughes--the last one was in KNoxville, TN. Knox Co.? With Dr. Samuel Henderson of Knoxville Tn. Knox Co.? in 1844.? Allyn was the one who wrote the book of Civil War Soldiers who was in the Civil War.? My gt grandfather was listed and some info about him was in that book--John George Troxell.? There was also a Dr. Morrow listed and I have found a few Morrow families.?
