Posted on: Henderson Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Henderson/1075 Surname: HENDERSON ------------------------- Ever since I noticed your posting several weeks ago, I've had this nagging feeling I should respond. My grandfather, Elmer Nicholas Henderson, had an older brother, Henry. My dad's middle name was Arthur. I've always had a feeling there was an "Arthur" somewhere in the family line as they were big on that sort of thing. From what I know, they were all born in the state of Maine, however, the generation prior were all from England/Ireland. Elmer's father, Edward, was a ship owner and as nearly as I can find out from the area of Newcastle on the Tyne (guess this is North Umberland) Please let me know if this is any help to you. It may, or may not be, and if it is I may be able to fill in more blanks for you and you can do likewise for me.

Message From <cheryliz@mailhost.directlink.net> Larry and all, What information do you already have on this guy? I have been looking for the ancestors of a Delpha Henderson born around the same time, who could be a sister maybe of your guy? I don't know anything about where she was born. I do know that she married Jacob Sr. Hollingsworth between 1800 to 1820 or so (I have no definite date), and was born around 1780, I think, according to most records I do find. Please let me know. And once I get home from work, I will forward you what I have on her already in my records. Thanks! FORWARDED FOR BOB WHO'S NOT A CURRENT HENDERSON SUBSCRIBER Message From Bob Drennan <13rupert@xmission.com> I have many people in my Caulk line who carry the middle name of Henderson. This line moved out of the Virginia/Tennessee area about the 1830's and moved to Illinois. My Caulk research does not show a relationship with the Henderson line but perhaps I am missing something and a Henderson researcher has a connection to the Caulk line. Would you please check your data base and see? I have tried to send this message before and have not had it confirmed. I unsubscribed and then subscribed again in the hopes that I could get this message through. So if you have received this before, please do not think that I am being pushy, just persistant. Thank you and good hunting Bob Drennan

Message From RussellHenderson@aol.com Is anyone familiar with the book "Henderson chronicles, desc. of Alexander Henderson of Scotland," by J.N. McCue. 113p. 1915? Which Alexander Henderson might this be? When did he live/die? Who was his wife? The book is at an online booksellers and I (of course) was hoping that this might be the Alexander Henderson of my line from Kilean and Kilchenzie Parish, Argyll, Scotland before 1800. Thanks.
