The coroner ruled the death as accidental. It seems Henderson had taken a skiff across the Ohio River, had been drinking and then had returned to the Kentucky side of the river. The coroner speculated he accidentally wandered in front of a passing train. A broken whisky bottle was found near the body.     3. Basil Duke Henderson was a Campbell Co. Ky. attorney in the late 1890's & early 1900's, He was the son of Amon & Emily (nee Laycock?) Henderson of Carthage, Ky. He was killed by a train on May 23 1907 while walking home from a night of drinking as a whiskey bottle was found in his possession by the investigators.     3. My Captain John Stuart Henderson of Cecil County, MD married Ann Benson in 1811 and Rebecca Groves in 1830. He came to this country in 1794 or 1799 from Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland. My book, Cecil County, MD Marriage Licenses for 1777 to 1840 does have a Robert Latham marrying an Ann Dunn in 1788, Aaron Latham to Sarah Bryson in 1778 and Enoch Latham to Ann Jester in 1822. I had heard my John Henderson was related to the Hendersons in Chester County, PA and that some of them migrated to Tennessee. Do we have any connection? Thank you.     3. There is an online genealogy database you ought to check out. You can search as with most databases, but the best part is if you can create a GEDCOM file from your database. The site will help you upload it and then it matches EVERYBODY in your database with every other name in their database. Now & then it turns up some connection that is obviously wrong, but for the most part it is pretty accurate. A day or so later you can check back & it will give you a list of all the matches for each name. I hope all you folks on this list will give it a shot.
