Nathaniel's second wife was Eleanor Springs Roach and she had been married twice before. They married about 1785 which was after all of Nathaniel and Eliabeth's children had been born. There are some researchers who say that the Robert Henderson b ca 1700 (this date could be way off) who married Isabell and died Oct 1801 in Old Pendleton District SC could have been the Father of Nathaniel or even the brother of Nathaniel who married Elizabeth Carroll. There is very little info on this Robert and Isabell and probably knows what is correct. I hope this helps. I could not find your Nathaniel who married a Mecham in my data bases. Looking for information regarding Stephen F HENDERSON, born 8 Nov 1830, died 18 Sep 1885. He married Marinda M HOLLICK (1827-1887) and had the following children: Marshel H (1851), William F (1853), Love (1855), Reuben (1857), Felicia Ann (1859), Nancy (1860), and an unnamed infant (1865). I have some probate records for an Annise Henderson (1802-1867) that names Stephen as the administrator for her estate.
