I think we are related. My great-uncle was John Abner Henderson and he moved to Illinois to work as a meat packer?..Caseyville my dad thinks, which is close to Belleville. Dad thought J.A. was born in 1882, but this is close to your dates. He was the older brother to my grandfather, Wheeler Verdell Henderson, b. 1894, d. 1981. Other sibling names include Almeda, Nula, Flosa, Calvin and Ezeakiel. The family was from Weakley County, TN--Palmersville area. Parents' names: John Calvin Henderson, Martha Jane Lewis. My dad remembers last visiting John Abner at his home in Illinois in 1948 when my dad was just 15 yrs old. Are any of these names familiar to you? I've been trying to locate my grandfather's great-nieces and/or nephews and believe I've found one in you...please email me at dcaylor@nortelnetworks.com
I am looking for anyone who is related to Sydney Henerson and Matilda Schoenbeck. They had three children Archibold Stanley, Helmut and Margret. Archibold Stanley lived in Port Elizabeth. I believe that Archibold Stanley who was called Stanley had 14 children. I am trying to locate anyone who can help me trace them so that I can do my family tree. Sydney came from England and his wife Matilda came from Germany.
Seeking information regarding James Claude Henderson. He enlisted in the Confederate Army in St. Clair County, Missouri. He served as an assistant physician. He may have been born in what is now West Virginia, and his father's name may have been Sandy or Alexander. Dean Henderson
My grandfather was Wheeler Verdell Henderson and his brother was named Abner Henderson, died in Illinois. I think your great-grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. They were from Palmersville, TN. Parents were John Calvin Henderson and Martha Jane Lewis. I have a letter from my great-Aunt Rosie who listed the name Holtzclaw as a relation but I couldn't read her writing well and didn't know how they fit in. Please contact me and let's share our family info! Donna...dcaylor@nortelnetworks.com

I am looking for any information about Brice Henderson, born in Cumberland Co. PA between 1792 and 1804. He married Anna Thomas around 1826 in Indiana Co. PA. I know that they had at least one child named John. Randy
Bob, thanks for the information. You are right about William Perry Henderson born 1821 and Lydia Cox born 1830. I found their Son, Daniel Webster born in 1850 in the 1900 IA Census. My Cousin said she heard from an older family member there was a "Mandy" so I think you are right about Amanda. I will check on that farther! There was another Daniel Webster Henderson Son of John Wimberly. (John was Brother to William Perry Henderson) This Daniel Webster was married to Emma. In the same 1900 IA Census where I found Daniel Webster Son, Widow, with Lydia Henderson, I found my Grandfather Edward listed as Grandson. I just don't know who Edwards Father was. I have been told it was Millard but can't find a Millard. Thanks for your information! Will check more on Amanda! Carolyn Whaley
Hello am new,and researching a specific Henderson line of which there are a few facts, and a few leads, but nothing that has led to factual information yet. Perhaps someone out there can help. Samuel Henderson (believe to be found N.C. poss Duplin county very early 1700's. Their son James Henderson married Hannah Sollers in N.C. possible Duplin County. Her father a possible Seabert Sollers that left Maryland for the carolinas early on and settled in Duplin County N.C. (he served Amer. Rev VA and N.C.) Her mother ----------------unknown this James Henderson went on a raid against Indians in 1793 and was the only man killed. Raid led by Doherty. Hannah Sollers Henderson remarried to a James Tallent and eventually she was kidnapped by Indians. Hannah and James had children James Jr. John, Nancy (think she went to Vermillion County Indiana) Jane and finally Ellen. Names of Tallent children born of Hannah Sollers Henderson Tallent are unknown. Seabert Sollers brother of Hannah was a Nolichucky man he married Mary Morrow in 1785, later they removed to MO. In Tenn. they are found (all of them) in Greene County. Anyone having information on any of these people please share. Thank you Mary Sollers Duke

I know this is off topic, but I felt it was just too important not to warn everyone. For those of you who belong to, or are thinking of joining Ancestry.com, please read their terms and conditions very carefully and get everything in writing before joining their services. Even then, did you know they can change their terms and conditions and just by using their site you're agreeing to those changes? Yes, that includes prices! Their terms and conditions page is located at: http://www.ancestry.com/legal/terms.htm I won't go into all the details here, but in January I was told one price for a membership over the phone and I agreed to that price. In June I was finally charged but a higher price, Well past the 30 days that I could have done something about it. Buyer beware! Thanks for letting me vent:o) Dianne

I am wondering if anyone has any information about William Perry Henderson born IL, 1830 (Son of William Hendrick) who married Lydia Cox in IA. In the 1900 Greene Co IA census Lydia was a widow with 6 children but only 5 living. Daniel W. was living with her but I wonder who the other children were. There was a James married to an Eliza on the same page of the census. One of the children is my GGrandfather and I am trying to figure out who he was. Another relative thinks his name was Millard but can't find any Millard. Thanks for any information! Carolyn Whaley

Janet, John Henderson is my husband's ancestor and what I know of him is on my my website at http://www.EarlyTexasFamilies.com. I would love to know about all these Henderson/Fortune connections and what you know of them. Thanks, Joyce
My husband had a cousin Jack Henderson that lived in Anderson, In. near Muncie, he moved to FL then to TN were he died a few years back. He would have been around 55 to 60 if he had lived. We know he was married before but I do not know right now who. My papers are not here at present. If this sounds familiar, let me know and I will try to get more info for you. We never heard of him being in Nevada, though. Let me hear. Wanda
